Jack White Criticizes Trump’s Iran Bombing, Calls President ‘Leader of the Board of Peace’
Jack White has sharply criticized Donald Trump’s decision to launch military attacks against Iran, mocking the president’s self-portrayal as a peacemaker.
On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the U.S., in coordination with Israel, initiated aerial attacks across Iran, reportedly with the aim of regime change Consequence. Trump labeled the operation “Operation Epic Fury” and, in a televised address, asserted it would address a security threat and offer Iranians an opportunity to “rise up” against their government.
Critics, including The Guardian, have pointed out the lack of legal basis for Trump’s actions and the minimal consultation with Congress or the public Facebook.
White, a long-time critic of Trump, took to social media to voice his disapproval. “Don’t you love seeing him declare war on a country while wearing a trucker hat that says “USA” on it?” White wrote. “Behold the leader of the ‘Board of Peace’. For the next war announcement donny, may I suggest having your feet up on the Resolute desk while eating a Considerable Mac in a velvet track suit?”
He continued, “Venezuela, Greenland, Iran, Cuba, what’s the difference right? don jr. And barron won’t have to fight or die, just other people’s children, so… invade and bomb away! New sign ups for the “board of peace” starting at one billion dollars! Can you believe donny hasn’t received a real Nobel Peace Prize yet? Unfair! Maybe in his third term he’ll receive one.”
Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’
Trump established the Board of Peace in late 2025, with the stated goal of promoting stability, peacebuilding, and reconstruction in conflict zones, with the President serving as its Lifetime Chairman.
Past Criticisms
White has repeatedly criticized the Trump administration. Earlier this month, he called for Trump’s removal from office after a racist meme depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as apes was shared on Trump’s social media account Reddit.
“This post would basically get anyone, at any job, fired immediately…except for arguably the most important position in the world,” White wrote at the time. “That’s right, Trump is a racist, a rapist, a felon, a grifter (currently ordering the U.S. Government to pay him $10 billion simply because no one will stop him), and a full-on dementia sufferer, and yet he has the power to send in Gestapo ICE soldiers to kill our citizens, and so much more dangerously, he has the nuclear codes and the ability to complete humanity at any moment based on an egotistical whim.”
White also criticized Trump over comments made regarding the death of Rob Reiner, where Trump falsely claimed Reiner’s death was linked to his criticism of the president.
In August, Trump and White exchanged insults, with White describing the Oval Office redesign as “vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy,” and the White House responding by calling White a “has-been loser.”
