JD McDonagh and Royce Keys Craft WWE Raw Appearances

The February 16th episode of WWE Raw at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee, featured the return of JD McDonagh from injury and the backstage presence of Royce Keys, formerly known as Powerhouse Hobbs in AEW.

JD McDonagh Returns to Action

JD McDonagh made his return to WWE television after several months away due to surgery to address lingering injuries. Ringside News reported that McDonagh had previously stated on social media his need to “pump the brakes and get put back together,” but indicated his return wouldn’t be long.

Royce Keys Backstage

Royce Keys, who debuted in WWE at the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was also backstage at Raw. Sportsarenaa noted that Keys selected his new ring name as a tribute to his youngest son, Royce, and his late mother’s maiden name, Keys. He recently competed in a dark match against Nathan Frazer prior to SmackDown.

Raw Match Lineup and Storylines

Several matches and segments were officially advertised for the February 16th Raw broadcast:

• Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Je’Von Evans vs. Gunther vs. Dominik Mysterio.
• Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Bayley vs. Asuka vs. Nattie.
• CM Punk Address: World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk addressed the WWE Universe regarding his upcoming title defenses against Finn Bálor and Roman Reigns.
• Liv Morgan Segments: The 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble winner, Liv Morgan, appeared to speak to the audience ahead of her championship pursuit.
• AJ Lee Live: AJ Lee appeared live on the program after securing a future match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Finn Balor was also interrupted by CM Punk during a segment, and was flanked by Dominik Mysterio and the returning JD McDonagh. WrestleTalk reported that Balor instructed Mysterio and McDonagh not to attack Punk.
