Awards Season Recognition
The Actor Awards appearance marked Ortega’s first awards show since the Golden Globes in January. She was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series Wednesday. However, the award in that category was posthumously presented to Catherine O’Hara for her work on The Studio, following O’Hara’s passing on January 30th at the age of 71 due to a lung embolism resulting from colon cancer.
