Brad Lambert Placed on Waivers by Winnipeg Jets
The Winnipeg Jets placed forward Brad Lambert on waivers on Tuesday with the intent of assigning him to the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League. The 22-year-old center has recorded one assist in 11 games with the Jets this season.
Selected 30th overall by Winnipeg in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Lambert has struggled to secure a permanent role at the NHL level. Across 42 career NHL games, he has accumulated three goals and nine points. The transaction leaves him available to any NHL club looking to claim the young forward and help jump-start his professional career.
Minor League Production Versus NHL Opportunities
Lambert spent the previous season split between Winnipeg and the AHL’s Manitoba Moose. During that campaign, he notched three goals and six points in 25 NHL appearances, alongside six goals and 13 points in 34 games with the Moose.
His most extensive professional minutes have come in the AHL. Over 64 career games in the minor league, Lambert has posted 55 points, demonstrating consistent offensive production that has not yet translated smoothly to the top tier of professional hockey.
