Karlsruhe City Hall Reopening with Diverse Event Lineup in 2026 and 2027
After a lengthy renovation, the Karlsruhe City Hall (Stadthalle Karlsruhe) is set to reopen in May 2026 with a packed schedule of musicals, concerts and performances extending into 2027. The reopening will include events for employees, citizens, and organizers from across Germany, marking a significant cultural moment for the city.
Renovation and Timeline
The Karlsruhe City Hall has been undergoing renovations since 2017. Initially projected to cost 58 million euros, the project has faced unforeseen challenges, bringing the total estimated cost to approximately 146.91 million euros. Trial operations were originally planned to commence in mid-2025, but the first events are now expected to capture place in the summer of 2026, pending final construction progress.
Upcoming Events
Ticket sales have already commenced for a variety of events scheduled throughout the latter half of 2026 and into 2027. Tickets are available through ka-news ticket partner reservix and eventim.de.
