KGM Enhances Tivoli and Korando with ‘Nomad Plus’ Features, Debuts Hybrid Actyon SUV
South Korean automaker KGM (formerly SsangYong Motor Company, and now under KG Mobility ownership) is bolstering its model lineup with the new ‘Nomad Plus’ series, offering enhanced comfort and technology for the Tivoli and Korando SUVs. Simultaneously, KGM is introducing the Actyon, its first-ever full hybrid SUV.
Enhanced Lighting and Digital Features
The ‘Nomad Plus’ series brings updated features to both the Tivoli and Korando, focusing on improved visibility and connectivity. Both models now include LED headlights and fog lights, and a keyless entry and start system (“Keyless-Go”). Inside, both vehicles feature a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Tivoli ‘Nomad Plus’: City-Focused Upgrades
The compact Tivoli receives additional comfort features, including a heated leather steering wheel. Exterior updates include roof rails and new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Safety features are also enhanced with the addition of a blind spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, complementing the existing emergency braking and lane keeping assist systems.
Korando ‘Nomad Plus’: Style and Convenience
The larger Korando ‘Nomad Plus’ distinguishes itself with a two-tone paint scheme, featuring a black roof, mirror housings, rails, and radiator grille for a contrasting aesthetic. It rides on larger 19-inch wheels. Inside, the Korando offers heated artificial leather seats, and models equipped with an automatic transmission gain adaptive cruise control.
Powertrain and Pricing
Both the Tivoli and Korando ‘Nomad Plus’ are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 163 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission is standard. A six-speed automatic transmission is available for an additional 2,200 euros, and all-wheel drive is an option for 2,000 euros. however, these two options cannot be combined. The Tivoli ‘Nomad Plus’ starts at 21,190 euros, while the Korando ‘Nomad Plus’ begins at 25,490 euros.
KGM Actyon: A Hybrid First
Alongside the ‘Nomad Plus’ series, KGM is launching the Actyon, a new SUV coupe available for the first time as a full hybrid. The manufacturer states the hybrid powertrain delivers improved traction, responsiveness, and reduced fuel consumption and emissions.
Availability
The new ‘Nomad Plus’ models will be available for viewing at KGM dealerships starting March 14th, with a special promotion day planned for interested customers.
