Kilkerrin-Clonberne Dominate AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Championship Team of the Year

Champions Kilkerrin-Clonberne of Galway have secured an impressive ten places on the 2025 AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Championship Team of the Year, recognizing their fifth successive All-Ireland title as reported by RTÉ. The team’s success culminated in a victory against St Ergnats, Moneyglass of Antrim at Croke Park last December.

Galway and Antrim Well Represented

St Ergnats, Moneyglass, who made history last year by winning their first Ulster crown and reaching their maiden national decider, have five players named to the team. This marks an improvement of two representatives for Kilkerrin-Clonberne compared to the previous year .

Player of the Year Nominees

The nominees for the AIB Ladies Gaelic Football Club Championship Player of the Year award are Siobhán Divilly and Nicola Ward from Kilkerrin-Clonberne and Cathy Carey from St Ergnats . Siobhán Divilly was named player of the match in the All-Ireland final.

Sisters Shine on the Team

The 2025 team features three sets of sisters: the Ward sisters and the Divilly sisters from Kilkerrin-Clonberne, and Sarah and Maria O’Neill from St Ergnats .

Awards Ceremony

The players will be honored at the AIB Club Player Awards at Croke Park on Friday, March 13th. This event will also celebrate players from camogie, hurling, and football, marking the second year the four codes have been honored together . The LGFA club player of the year award winner will also be revealed at the ceremony.
