Finnian Garbutt, known for his role as PC Ryan Power in the BBC One Northern Ireland drama Hope Street, has shared a heartbreaking update on his health. The 28-year-old actor announced that his skin cancer, initially diagnosed four years ago, has progressed to stage four.

Garbutt was first diagnosed with malignant melanoma at the age of 25 after noticing a lump behind his ear in 2020. He underwent a 12-hour surgery in February 2022, during which 75 lymph nodes were removed from his neck and face, according to Metro. Despite the surgery, the cancer has unfortunately metastasized.
