Thursday will bring cloudy skies with some clearing in places across Latvia, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre. Overnight into Thursday, a band of precipitation moved across the country from the west, bringing rain to most of the territory. Heavy rain is possible in places in the eastern regions, with intermittent showers expected to continue throughout the day.
Winds on Thursday are light to moderate from the south and southwest, but they will gradually shift to the southwest and west overnight and into Friday morning, beginning in western areas. Gusty winds are expected along the coast. Nighttime temperatures dropped to between +11°C and +15°C, while daytime highs will reach +15°C to +18°C.
Weekend Weather Outlook and Temperature Trends
Light rain is forecast in places overnight into Friday, reaching the Kurzeme region by the afternoon. On Saturday, intermittent rain will spread across most of the country, with precipitation covering nearly the entire territory by the end of the week. Light to moderate south and southwest winds will persist through both days, turning gusty mainly along the coast on Friday before gusts extend across a wider area of Kurzeme on Saturday.

Temperatures will fluctuate slightly over the weekend. Overnight into Friday, minimum temperatures will fall to +8°C to +11°C. Across the coast and the wider country overnight into Saturday, conditions will turn milder with lows of +11°C to +16°C. Daytime highs for both Saturday and Sunday will reach +16°C to +20°C. Cooler temperatures are expected to arrive at the start of next week.
