Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 Launches Kickstarter Campaign, Heads to USA

Liverpool, UK – March 19th, 2026 – Skyhook Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Lawn Mowing Simulator 2, seeking £15,000 to fund further development and potential platform expansions. The campaign runs until April 23rd and offers various backer tiers, including digital game keys and in-game recognition.

Expanding the Lawncare Experience

Planned for release on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S later in 2026, Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 builds upon the foundation of the original game, released in 2021. Key improvements include latest grass technology for more realistic visuals and satisfying mowing mechanics, as well as the addition of a leaf blower tool. Players will also be able to start a new career in the USA.

Community-Driven Development

Skyhook Games recently self-funded a quality-of-life update and the ‘Heritage Park’ DLC for the original Lawn Mowing Simulator as a thank you to its community. The Kickstarter campaign aims to further involve players in the development process through stretch goals, allowing backers to influence the game’s future content. Stretch goals include bonus in-game equipment, new locations, and the possibility of bringing the game to the Nintendo Switch 2.

Backer Rewards

Backer tiers range from a digital key for the game to opportunities to dedicate in-game items and, at the highest tier, to name the town featured in Lawn Mowing Simulator 2.

Skyhook Games’ Vision

“We’re incredibly excited to be launching the Kickstarter campaign for Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 today, bringing players into our vision for the game and letting them back what they want to see from the game’s future development,” said David Harper, Managing Director at Skyhook Games. “As a small, independent, self-publishing developer, enabling the community to be involved in the future direction of the game’s development via Kickstarter stretch goals – while committing to self-fund the game through to release – is a key aim for the team. We can’t wait to see how players engage with the Kickstarter campaign.”
