Heaven Through Violence and Letterbombs Release Collaborative Split LP, “Palla”
Boston-based screamo band Heaven Through Violence has teamed up with Finnish band Letterbombs for a new split LP titled “Palla,” released March 20th, 2026, via Dancing Rabbit Records, Engineer Records, Fireflies Fall, Larry Records, Severed Records, Shove Records & Vamonos Records.
Concept and Inspiration
“Palla” is a concept album based on the 2001 short story of the same name by Ted Peterson, originally written as an in-game book for Bethesda Softworks’ The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Heaven Through Violence adapts the events of volume 1 of the story, while Letterbombs focuses on volume 2. The story is described as a tale of a boy’s affection for his friend’s mother.
Band Backgrounds
Heaven Through Violence features a member of And Its Name Was Epyon, while Letterbombs shares two members with piot. Both bands bring extensive experience to the collaboration, following recent splits with Rosemary Nods Upon The Grave (Heaven Through Violence) and Lori (Letterbombs).
Musical Style
The split LP features five tracks from each band. Heaven Through Violence’s contribution, “v,” begins with hand-clapping and a prominent bassline, evolving into a slow, atmospheric climb with strained vocals and a lead guitar reminiscent of Caution Children. Letterbombs’ track, “ix,” is characterized by blazing guitars and swift-paced skramz, shifting to melodic post-hardcore similar to Twins.
