LG Electronics has been named the official TV and home appliance partner for the 78th Emmy Awards, expanding its presence at the upcoming ceremony in Los Angeles. According to an announcement from LG Electronics, the company will showcase its premium product lineup and produce behind-the-scenes content at the event scheduled for September 14 at the Peacock Theater.
Expanding Partnership with the Television Academy
The new agreement broadens LG’s existing collaboration with the Television Academy, moving beyond its previous focus on premium televisions to incorporate major home appliances. As part of this expanded partnership, LG will host the “LG Signature Influencer Lounge” near the main ceremony venue.
According to LG Electronics, the lounge will display several of the brand’s flagship products. These include the LG OLED evo AI television, the LG Signature Essence White refrigerator, and the LG Signature Styler clothing care system. The company plans to use the space to capture behind-the-scenes content featuring actors, creators, and other ceremony attendees interacting with the hardware.
Integrating Content via webOS and LG Channels
Alongside its physical presence at the Peacock Theater, LG is bringing the Emmy Awards experience directly to its smart TV interface. The company is launching a dedicated banner on its proprietary webOS platform and its ad-supported free streaming service, LG Channels.
Through this digital integration, viewers will be able to access a curated selection of past Emmy-winning programs and current nominees in a single location. Kwak Do-young, senior vice president and head of LG Electronics North America, stated that the initiative aims to deliver sophisticated spatial experiences to global customers through advanced OLED technology and LG Signature appliances.
