According to government weather reports, precipitation totals in the greater Seoul area, Gangwon province, South and North Chungcheong provinces, and the Gyeongsang provinces are expected to reach up to 50 millimeters.

Meteorologists tracking the frontal system warn of localized downpours, particularly in the southern coastal areas of Jeollanam-do and around Mount Jirisan, where hourly precipitation rates could peak at 30 millimeters.
Daytime high temperatures will remain warm despite the cloud cover and rain. Forecasters project highs reaching 31 degrees Celsius in Seoul and 33 degrees Celsius in Gwangju, with nationwide temperatures generally ranging between 27 and 33 degrees Celsius.
Coastal Conditions and Marine Forecasts
Maritime conditions around the peninsula vary by region as the weather system moves across the country. According to marine forecasts issued for August 15, wave heights along the front waters of the East Sea and the Yellow Sea will reach a maximum of 1 meter. Meanwhile, waters off the southern coast face slightly rougher conditions, with waves peaking at up to 1.5 meters.
