Chinese Court: Malaysia Airlines Must Pay Rp 54B to MH370 Victims

Beijing – A Chinese court ordered malaysia Airlines to pay a total of 23.2 million Yuan (approximately Rp 54.6 billion) to the families of passengers lost in the MH370 tragedy, which occurred over a decade ago.

Reuters reported on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, that the Beijing court mandated Malaysia Airlines pay over 2.9 million Yuan (around Rp 6.8 billion) per lawsuit.

This ruling covers eight cases, each representing a Chinese passenger on MH370. A Beijing court handled all eight lawsuits.
