Malaysia Airlines and IndiGo Launch Codeshare Partnership for Enhanced Connectivity
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – October 29, 2024 – Malaysia Airlines and IndiGo are thrilled to announce a strategic codeshare partnership designed to boost connectivity and elevate the travel experience for passengers between Malaysia and India. Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in April 2024, this collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening travel links between these two key tourism markets.

Expanded Network and Destination Options
Through this partnership, Malaysia Airlines customers will gain access to seven new domestic destinations within India, including Kolkata, Varanasi, Patna, Tiruchirappalli, Goa, Bhubaneswar, and Visakhapatnam. This complements Malaysia Airlines’ existing network of 10 key hubs in India, such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Trivandrum, and Kolkata.
IndiGo passengers, in turn, will have expanded travel options to explore the beauty of Malaysia. IndiGo’s flight code “6E” will be added to Malaysia Airlines’ domestic flights from KL International Airport Terminal 1 to popular destinations like Penang, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuching.
