Fire Damages Marseille Hotel, Three Hospitalized for Smoke Inhalation

Marseille, France – A fire broke out at the Trianon hotel in the 1st arrondissement of Marseille on Friday, March 20, 2026, resulting in damage to multiple rooms and the hospitalization of three individuals for smoke inhalation and minor burns. The incident occurred around 11:20 PM local time, according to reports.

Details of the Incident

Approximately sixty firefighters were dispatched to the scene near the Réformés district. The fire completely destroyed two rooms and partially damaged two others, as well as a stairwell.

Seven individuals were assessed by emergency personnel. Three men were transported to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation, with one also suffering from minor burns. Three women and one other man were treated on-site and did not require hospitalization.

Hotel Closure

The Trianon hotel has been temporarily closed to the public following the fire. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze.
