Mayhem: A Legacy of Darkness
Formed in Oslo in 1984, Mayhem is renowned as a pioneering force in Norwegian black metal, known for its raw, atmospheric style and tumultuous history. The current lineup includes bassist Jørn Stubberud (Necrobutcher), who has been with the band since its inception, drummer Jan Aksel Blomberg (Hellhammer) since 1988, and vocalist Attila Csihar since 1992. Guitarists Teloch (Mortens Bergton Iversen) and Ghul (Charles Edward Alexander Hedgers) joined in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Teloch and Ghul authored the music for “Liturgy Of Death”, while Attila penned the lyrics.
