Local Excitement and Winner Contact
Michael Kelly, the owner of Kelly’s Mace, expressed his shock and excitement upon receiving the news from the National Lottery. “The first thing our National Lottery rep said to me was ‘Are you sitting down?’ I was completely shocked when I got the call since it’s not the type of news you hear every day,” Kelly stated according to RTÉ. He added that the store, which has been in operation for 30 years, is a hub for both locals and tourists traveling along the Newport Greenway.
The National Lottery confirmed that the winner has come forward and arrangements are being made for them to collect their prize at Lottery Headquarters as reported by Mayo News.
