World series of Poker Circuit Comes to Liechtenstein with €1 Million Guaranteed
Vaduz, Liechtenstein – The Grand Casino Liechtenstein is set to host a World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) event from February 26th to March 10th, bringing a major poker series to the small principality. Twelve WSOPC rings will be awarded during the series, marking a important coup for the casino.
Casino Director Yalcin Dündar expressed his excitement, stating, “We at the entire Casino team are incredibly proud to have brought this MEGA event to the small Principality of Liechtenstein. The Grand Casino Liechtenstein has a proven track record of successfully hosting large-scale poker tournaments, including the Euro Poker Million, Road to PSPC, Hendon Mob Championship, World Poker Tour, and the GCPS Million.
The Main Event will feature a guaranteed prize pool of 1,000,000 Swiss francs (approximately €1,070,000). The buy-in for the Main Event is 1,500 CHF, with opportunities to win tickets for smaller amounts through preliminary events.
This event is seen as a testing ground for the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOP Europe), which will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, from March 31st to April 12th, 2024. Notably, WSOP Europe has shifted from its traditional October timeframe to the first half of the year, providing another evaluation prospect before the main WSOP event in Las Vegas.
