Metallica Adds Six Las Vegas Sphere Shows to ‘Life Burns Faster’ Residency Due to High Demand
Metallica has added six additional shows to its “Life Burns Faster” residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, citing “unbelievable demand” from fans. The initial eight-show run, announced in February, will take place on October 1, 3, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31, 2026.
The newly added dates have not yet been revealed, but a fan club presale will begin on Wednesday, March 4, at 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT. Those with existing Legacy or Fifth Member codes will have access to this presale. More details regarding ticket availability, including single-night tickets, 2-night “No Repeat Weekend” tickets, enhanced experience tickets, and travel packages, will be announced soon.
‘No Repeat Weekend’ Format Continues
The “Life Burns Faster” residency will continue the “No Repeat Weekend” tradition established during the band’s “M72” world tour, meaning no songs will be repeated on Thursday and Saturday performances.
A Unique Live Experience at the Sphere
Metallica’s residency at the Sphere aims to deliver a unique and immersive experience for fans, leveraging the venue’s advanced technology. The Sphere features the world’s highest resolution LED display, wrapping up, over, and around the audience, along with immersive sound and multi-sensory 4D technology.
Drummer Lars Ulrich described the Sphere as “completely uncharted territory” and expressed excitement about reinventing the band’s live interaction with fans.
Following a Lineup of Star Residencies
Metallica joins a growing list of artists who have taken up residencies at the Sphere, including U2, Phish, Dead & Company, the Eagles, and the Backstreet Boys.
Before the Las Vegas residency, Metallica will embark on a UK and European tour, including two nights at the London Stadium in July.
