Conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla has been forced to cancel her upcoming engagements with the National Orchestra of Spain (OCNE) as she continues her recovery from surgery. This follows previous cancellations of performances with the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester at the end of the year, where she was replaced by alan Gilbert.
The OCNE announced that Gražinytė-Tyla’s participation in concerts scheduled for January 23rd, 24th, and 25th is no longer possible due to her convalescence.The orchestra has adjusted the program,and Josep Pons will now conduct these performances.
