The 2026 Juno Awards: A Celebration of Canadian Music Talent

The 2026 Juno Awards are set to take place this month, honouring the best in Canadian music. With events broadcasting from Hamilton, Ontario, the awards will showcase both established stars and rising artists. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect, from the gala performances to the special achievement awards.

Gala Highlights and Performances

The Juno Awards Gala, presented by Music Canada, will be broadcast live on CBC Music on Saturday, March 28. CBC Music’s Damhnait Doyle and Odario Williams will host the event, which will feature performances by several nominees, including Fredz, Isabella Lovestory, Manitou Mkwa Singers, Ryan Ofei, and Saya Gray.

The gala will also include the presentation of the Humanitarian Award to rock band Billy Talent.

Special Achievement Awards

The Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award, presented by Slaight Music, will be awarded to Alexander Mair, Sandy Pandya, and Vinny Cinquemani, recognizing their significant impact on the Canadian music industry.

The Main Event: Juno Awards Broadcast

The 55th annual Juno Awards will be hosted by Mae Martin and broadcast live from Hamilton on Sunday, March 29, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBC TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, and CBC Listen. The awards will also be available to stream internationally at cbcmusic.ca/junos and on the CBC Music YouTube page.

Performances at the main event will feature Arkells, The Beaches, Cameron Whitcomb, Daniel Caesar, Sofia Camara, MICO, and William Prince. Special tribute performances are planned for Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Joni Mitchell, by Sarah McLachlan and Allison Russell, and for Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee Nelly Furtado, by Alessia Cara, Jully Black, Shawn Desman, and Tanya Tagaq.

Road to the Junos and Related Programming

Leading up to the main event, the “Road to the Junos” concert series will showcase Hamilton-area artists on CBC Music and CBC Gem. Special Juno episodes will also air on CBC programs such as Q with Tom Power, Commotion with Elamin Abdelmahmoud, Here & Now with Farrah Merali, and CBC Music Weekend Mornings with Saroja Coelho.

Accessibility

The Juno Awards broadcast will be presented with described video and closed captioning. An American Sign Language (ASL) version will be available on CBC Gem.
