Moloney’s Centra Ballina Opens, Creating 20 New Jobs in County Mayo

Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland – Moloney’s Centra Ballina officially opened its doors on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, bringing 20 new employment opportunities to the local community. The opening represents a €3 million investment by a family-owned business into the Ballina area.

New Store Details

Moloney’s Centra Ballina operates from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, and from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Sundays. Located on Circular Road, the store aims to serve as a convenient shopping destination for residents and visitors alike.

Moloney’s Maxol Forecourt to Follow

Alongside the Centra store, Moloney’s Maxol Forecourt is also nearing completion, pending the final fuel license approval. This addition will further enhance the services available at the location.

Community and Political Support

Dara Calleary TD expressed his congratulations to Bryan, John, and Edel Moloney, along with the entire team at Moloney’s Centra and Moloney Supervalu, highlighting the new venture as a “great addition” to the Ballina community. Whereas the new Centra is a recent addition, the Moloney family has a long-standing presence in the region. Moloney Family Funeral Homes operates in Long Island, New York, and is a separate entity from the Moloney’s Centra and Maxol businesses in Ballina, Ireland.
