Nexon Schedules Overgeared Online Showcase for November 5
Nexon will host an online showcase titled “Over World” on November 5 at 8:00 p.m. via the official Overgeared YouTube channel, featuring real game play footage, service plans, and a six-month update roadmap presented by Gray Games PD Byung-cheon Choi and Director Soon-jun Yoon.

The upcoming broadcast gives developers a platform to walk viewers through actual game footage while detailing the core design choices behind the title. Choi and Yoon will outline how the team built the project’s foundational mechanics and structured its post-launch schedule. Overgeared relies on a equipment-focused progression model, a faithful adaptation of its source material’s world, and a “dimension” system.

Ahead of the showcase, fan engagement has already hit early milestones. When Nexon opened server and character name reservations on October 21, all 20 available servers reached full capacity, building on a pre-registration phase that began on October 1.

The game adapts the global popular IP Overgeared, a massive fantasy property. The original text follows protagonist Youngwoo Shin who stumbles upon the legendary class “Pagma’s Descendant” inside the virtual reality MMORPG Satisfy, using rare items to climb to the top of the game world. The web novel and webtoon versions combined have generated approximately 1.3 billion views and over 700,000 comments in Korea alone.
International platforms have also recorded strong engagement for the property. On the web fiction site Wuxiaworld, the story ranked as the number 1 popular title, while the Japanese digital manga platform Piccoma recorded 85.28 million cumulative “likes” and awarded the property at the Piccoma Awards 2023. Following the conclusion of the web novel in April 2024 and the ongoing serialization of the webtoon on KakaoPage, an animated adaptation premiered in October to broaden the franchise’s reach.
Regional Launch Details and Cross-Platform Support
Nexon is publishing the large-scale MMORPG for both PC and mobile devices, targeting players in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao. The company has confirmed that the upcoming November 5 stream will unveil the official release date alongside the six-month roadmap.
