French biopharmaceutical company NFL Biosciences has announced the filing of a patent protecting a predictive biomarker associated with its smoking cessation drug candidate, NFL-101. The biomarker, rooted in the immunomodulatory mechanism of NFL-101, aims to identify patients most likely to respond to the treatment. Results from efficacy trials in the biomarker-positive population are expected in early June 2026, according to the company.
