HC Thurgau will welcome recruiters from all over North America this Saturday at the Güttingersreuti in Weinfelden and will also offer several event highlights. Why such excitement? The Lithuanian player on loan from Genève-Servette, Simas Ignataviciusis expected to be selected in the first round of the NHL draft this summer. With Ignatavicius being one of the few NHL prospects still active during the Olympic break, that draws NHL scouts from the East Coast to the West Coast. More than 70 representatives are expected tomorrow at the Güttingersreuti to observe this young talent, who plays with a Swiss license. HCT greatly welcomes visitors from Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, etc., although this poses logistical challenges. Christian Bannwartdirector general of the HCT, explains: “Our seats are always full, even without NHL scouts. We are therefore looking for a few places on the small media stand or on the Leuenfelsen for representatives of the NHL. Most of them, however, will be able to experience the Gütti in the heart of the HCT supporters, from the standing stands. »

The HCT offers an entertainment program

On Saturday, the entertainment will not only be provided by NHL hopeful Ignatavicius, but by the entire HC Thurgau team during the match against EHC Winterthur. In addition, the Thurgovians will also offer a highlight in a Swiss hockey stadium with the action « Whirlpool 2.0 ». A total of 12 people will once again be able to follow the match from a jacuzzi while enjoying a glass of champagne. After the match, the “HCT x Bunker” aftergame party will take place at Thurgauer Dörfli. The DJs from the Weinfeld collective Bunker will provide quality electronic music and ensure a unique post-match party at HC Thurgau. Entrance to the evening is free and the doors of the Dörfli will open after the end of the match, from 8:00 p.m.
