Nicola Tynan, Kilkenny Mother of Three, Remembered with Affection

Nicola Tynan (née O’Brien), a resident of Webbsboro Cottage, Ballyfoyle, Co. Kilkenny, and formerly of Clondalkin, Dublin, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at the Southeast Palliative Care Centre, U.H.W. She was beloved wife of Ken and much-loved mother of Abigail, Isabelle, and Charlotte. Her death notice was published on RIP.ie on February 20, 2026.

A Life Remembered

Nicola is predeceased by her father, Christy. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Noleen, sister Ruth, brother Gavin, parents-in-law, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephew, nieces, relatives, and friends. Tributes shared online remember Nicola as a warm, kind, and courageous individual.

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing will take place at Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Sunday, February 22nd, from 5 pm to 7 pm, with prayers recited at 6:30 pm. A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday at 11:30 am in St. Brendan’s Church, Muckalee, Co. Kilkenny (R95R594). Following the Mass, the funeral will proceed to Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin for a cremation service at 2:30 pm (D24K1CY).

The family requests privacy at their home. The Requiem Mass will be live-streamed. Family flowers are requested only, with donations, if desired, to Cois Nore, Kilkenny.
