Cowgirls Shut Out Texas State, Meylan Shines in River State Classic

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The No. 24/19 Oklahoma State Cowgirls secured a 5-0 victory over Texas State on Thursday at the River State Classic, powered by a dominant pitching performance from Ruby Meylan and key offensive contributions from Rosie Davis and Claire Timm. This win marks OSU’s fourth victory in their last five games, improving their season record to 8-4, while Texas State falls to 5-5.

Meylan Delivers Complete Game Shutout

Ruby Meylan (3-3) pitched a complete game, allowing only one hit and striking out seven batters. She needed just 87 pitches to secure the shutout victory, limiting the Bobcats to three baserunners throughout the game. Texas State’s Madison Azua, the Sun Belt Conference preseason pitcher of the year, took the loss, falling to 3-4 on the season.

Cowgirls’ Offense Breaks Through

Oklahoma State first got on the board in the third inning with an RBI single from Claire Timm. Timm added another RBI single in the fifth, extending the lead to 2-0. The Cowgirls then broke the game open in the sixth inning, scoring three runs on an RBI single by Jayden Jones and a two-run single from Rosie Davis.
