Paul Campbell Remembered After Passing on November 3
Paul Campbell, a car detailer of over 30 years who worked on two movie sets, died in the early morning of November 3, The News Journal reported. He left behind his wife of 35 years, Paula Sims, and his daughter, Catie Campbell. Born on July 11, 1960, to Paul F. Campbell and Nora Jane Schafferman Campbell, he was known for his daily companion, a dog named Lucy, who joined him while he worked and played in the yard.
Campbell Operated His Own Car Detailing Business for Decades
For more than three decades, Campbell operated his own car detailing business. Many of his loyal customers turned into close friends as they swapped stories about Catie’s horse shows and shared a mutual love for the Philadelphia Phillies. He frequently told people he never worked a day in his life because he loved his job. Before starting Paul’s Detailing, he was a member of Teamster Union 326, working at a Volkswagen facility at the Port of Wilmington, a Chrysler plant, and on the sets of the film Dead Poets Society and the 1992 documentary Lincoln.
