Pixar will release its new animated comedy, ‘Hoppers: Beaver’, in theaters on March 5, 2026, a story that combines humor, action and an ambitious technical staging.

As is usual in the studio’s productions, this production stands out, according to a Pixar statement, for the meticulous animation work and the large number of hidden details that connect with other works in the Pixar universe.

Behind the production there are figures that show its ambition:
- In one scene 19,436 ants appear.
- 251,663 trees were generated in the dam area.
- The team used 62,939 sticks to digitally construct the dam mound.
- Effects and simulation were added to 1,718 shots of the film.
The team even built an actual “dam” in the animation room: for every approved shot, they stuck a stick on the wall.
Voices and curiosities
Three ‘Escandalosos’ actors participate in the film: Bobby Moynihan, Demetri Martin and Eric Edelstein. In addition, Piper Curda, Mabel’s voice, recorded the same phrase 83 times until achieving the final take.
Winks to the Pixar universe
As is tradition, the film includes several “easter eggs”: the Pixar lamp appears, the Pizza Planet truck from Toy Story, references to ‘Finding Nemo’, Brave, Soul and even a preview of a toy from Toy Story 5.
With its combination of humor and hidden details, ‘Hoppers: Beaver’ aims to become one of the great animated releases of 2026.
