Orange Maroc Drives Digital Transformation with Customizable 5G Plans and Wi-Fi 7 Technology

Orange Maroc is spearheading Morocco’s digital evolution with the launch of customizable 5G mobile plans and the Livebox 7, a next-generation Wi-Fi 7 router. These innovations aim to deliver personalized and enhanced digital experiences to consumers, aligning with Morocco’s “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy [1].

Yo Max 5G: Personalized Mobile Connectivity

The new Yo Max 5G plans allow subscribers to tailor their mobile experience based on individual needs, including streaming, gaming, music, and e-learning. Available in six tiers, priced between 99 and 649 Moroccan dirhams (approximately $11 to $71 USD), the plans offer data allowances ranging from 160 gigabytes to unlimited use [1]. Customers can manage their subscriptions through the Orange Max It app, providing flexibility and control over their mobile connectivity [1].

“The Yo Max 5G plans are designed to provide our customers flexibility and control over their mobile experience,” said an Orange Maroc spokesperson [1]. “Users can choose services that suit their lifestyle, ensuring that connectivity supports both work and leisure in a fast-evolving digital environment.”

Livebox 7: A World-First Wi-Fi 7 Router

Orange Maroc has introduced the Livebox 7, a Wi-Fi 7 tri-band router developed in partnership with ZTE, the prpl Foundation, and Bitdefender [1]. The device features ten smart antennas for stable, high-speed connectivity, built-in VPN and parental controls, and the ability to install applications directly on the router via the prplOS operating system [1]. The Livebox 7’s design incorporates elements of traditional Moroccan zellige, blending technology with local aesthetics.

The Livebox 7 platform similarly enables local developers to create applications tailored to Moroccan users, expanding Orange’s Nova Box ecosystem [1].

Expanding 5G Network and Digital Inclusion

These launches follow Orange Maroc’s broader rollout of its 5G network, aiming to provide faster speeds and greater reliability across the country [4]. With mobile penetration exceeding 148 percent and internet access reaching over 35 million users in Morocco [1], Orange Maroc is contributing to the nation’s digital transformation goals and promoting digital inclusion.

Orange Maroc is also modernizing its network with Ericsson to prepare for the introduction of 5G Standalone and new business models [3].
