Paul Thomas Anderson is set to direct Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet in a yet-to-be-titled film, marking a significant collaboration between the acclaimed director and two of Hollywood’s leading actors. Details surrounding the plot remain scarce, but sources indicate the film will be a drama set in the world of 1930s Hollywood.
This project reunites Anderson with DiCaprio, following their accomplished partnership on films like There Will Be Blood (2007) and Boogie Nights (1997). Chalamet,known for his roles in Dune (2021) and call Me By Your Name (2017),will be working with Anderson for the first time.
Production is slated to begin in early 2026, with a potential release in late 2026 or early 2027. The film is being produced by Annapurna Pictures and Universal Pictures, with Megan Ellison and JoAnne Sellar serving as producers.
