OTB Group Discusses Sustainability and Digital Product Passports with King Charles III

London, United Kingdom – On March 12, 2026, OTB, the Italian fashion holding company, met with His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace to discuss advancements in sustainability and technology within the fashion industry. The meeting involved a private session with the Sustainable Markets Initiative’s fashion task force, chaired by Federico Marchetti.

OTB’s Commitment to Sustainability

Represented by President Renzo Rosso and Sustainability Ambassador Andrea Rosso, OTB shared its progress in integrating sustainable practices and innovative technologies into its operations. A key focus of the discussion was OTB’s pilot project for a Digital Product Passport (DPP), designed to align with upcoming European regulations.

Digital Product Passport Pilot Project

The DPP initiative utilizes blockchain registration and Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to enhance the transparency, authenticity and traceability of products. OTB plans to progressively extend this technology across all its brands. “Today we likewise wanted to share our commitment to sustainability from a technological perspective, presenting the projects we are developing together with Aura as part of the Digital product passport,” stated Renzo Rosso, President and Founder of the OTB Group.

Collaboration with Aura Blockchain Consortium

OTB is actively collaborating with the Aura Blockchain Consortium, serving as a steering member, to develop secure and scalable digital traceability solutions for its luxury brands.
