Jakarta –
Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Rini Widyantini visited several locations in the Archipelago Capital (IKN), East Kalimantan on Friday (13/2). His arrival is to ensure readiness so that the state civil servants (ASN) who will live in the new capital feel comfortable and safe.
“This IKN is conceptualized to live an efficient, futuristic and close to nature life. We ensure that ASN will one day feel ready and safe, comfortable to be able to be more devoted to improving the country,” said Rini in a written statement, Sunday (15/2/2026).
Some of the locations that Rini reviewed were flats (Rusun) for ASN, the IKN Central General Hospital (RSUP), the Office of the Coordinating Ministry, and the Garuda Palace. The ASN Flats specifically carry a modern and sustainable tropical theme consisting of 47 towers with a height of 12 floors.

ASN flats are strategically located in the western and eastern residential areas, equipped with smart home system (fingerprint/PIN) facilities, complete furniture, commercial tenancies and religious, social and sports facilities. This flat was built to support the gradual move of ASN and ensure comfort and efficiency of mobility in the IKN Central Government Core Area (KIPP).
Another location reviewed was IKN Hospital which has 10 floors with around 250 beds, as well as superior heart and stroke services. This health center operates with a smart hospital concept and is supported by advanced technology such as CT-Scan 512 Slice, Hybrid Cathlab and MRI 3 Tesla.
Rini and other officials also visited four Coordinating Ministry Office buildings. This office is designed as a sharing office to support the transfer of ASN from central agencies, carrying the green building concept which was completed in 2024-2025.
The office is equipped with a multifunction hall, 2nd walkway bridge, integrated parking area and a building concept that blends with nature (forest city). This development is a priority to support the transformation of IKN as a modern and sustainable government center.
Rini said the key to IKN’s success lies in collaboration and the implementation of digital governance. According to him, digitalization will be the backbone of future government, with talent that understands digital advances.
“So the essence of digital governance is collaboration. I am also concerned about the ASN talents in IKN. Why? Because IKN is not just moving the capital here, but we are finding new ways to bureaucracy and improve our governance,” concluded Rini.
