PepsiCo and ID Logistics Launch Advanced Logistics Hub in Dourges, France
Dourges, France – PepsiCo and ID Logistics have inaugurated a new 56,000 m² warehouse in Dourges, Pas-de-Calais, France, bolstering PepsiCo’s snacking operations in the region. The facility represents a significant investment of nearly 100 million euros and three years of development La Gazette France.
Strategic Shift from Libercourt
The new Dourges site replaces PepsiCo’s previous operations in Libercourt, consolidating and modernizing the company’s logistics infrastructure in France. The move ensures the continued employment of 95 employees from the Libercourt facility, who will receive training on the new technologies implemented at the Dourges location LinkedIn.
State-of-the-Art Facility and Capacity
The warehouse, spanning a total area of 136,000 m², is designed to accommodate up to 52,000 pallets of PepsiCo’s snack products, including Lay’s, Doritos, and Benenuts. It features 55 loading docks to facilitate efficient order processing and distribution ID Logistics.
Technological Innovations for Efficiency
ID Logistics is managing operations at the Dourges site using real-time management systems for complete supply chain visibility. Automation is a key feature, with automatic docks handling 70% of incoming flows and autonomous trolleys managing internal movements. The ASTRID robot scans 5,000 pallets per hour, ensuring inventory accuracy without disrupting workflow LinkedIn.
Commitment to Sustainability
The Dourges facility is built to BREEAM Excellent standards and incorporates several sustainable features. These include photovoltaic panels, electric vehicle (EV) and heavy-vehicle charging stations, and rainwater recovery systems. The site also boasts the largest single-piece solar power plant in Europe, covering 128,568 m². The multimodal capabilities of the Delta 3 hub prioritize rail and river transport over road transport LinkedIn.
Decarbonization Efforts
PepsiCo has deployed five electric trucks and five high-power charging stations at the Dourges site. These initiatives resulted in a reduction of 14,254 tonnes of CO2 in 2025, bringing the company’s share of low-carbon transport in France to 70% La Gazette France.
