Mother Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for poisoning Daughters

On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, Maelys Daubon was sentenced to 30 years of criminal imprisonment, with a 20-year safety period, by the landes Assize Court. She was convicted of poisoning her two daughters and attempting to murder her ex-husband.

Fabien large, a lawyer from Perpignan who assisted the ex-husband alongside Victor Font, described the eight-day trial as “unusual.”

“This is one of the worst cases I’ve seen. It’s a truly extraordinary case, reflecting the personality and criminal intensity of the accused,” Large stated. “And I’m not alone in saying that. Experts, including police officers, have said they’ve never encountered someone so perverse and manipulative.”

Large represented Yannick Reverdy, the children’s father and a former French handball international. Daubon is also suspected of attempting to murder Reverdy by bribing fellow inmates. The verdict – 30 years imprisonment and a 20-year security period – brings a conclusion to a disturbing case.
