Blipbug Debuts in Pokémon Move’s Bug Out 2026 Event

Pokémon GO trainers, prepare to add a new Bug-type Pokémon to your collection! Blipbug, the Larva Pokémon originally discovered in the Galar region, is making its debut in Pokémon GO as part of the Bug Out 2026 event, running from March 17 to March 23, 2026.

Event Details and Dates

The Bug Out 2026 event begins on March 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Local time and concludes on March 23, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Local time. During this period, players will have multiple opportunities to encounter Blipbug and other Bug-type Pokémon.

How to Catch Blipbug

Trainers can encounter Blipbug through several methods:

• Raid Battles: Participate in One-Star Raids to battle and catch Blipbug.
• GO Pass: Bug Out 2026: Completing tasks on the GO Pass will offer Blipbug encounters as a reward.
• GO Pass Deluxe: Bug Out 2026: Purchasing the deluxe version of the GO Pass grants a Blipbug encounter at rank 25, and an encounter with Dottler, Blipbug’s first evolution, at rank 30.

Shiny Pokémon Spotlight

Shiny Sizzlipede will be making its debut during the Bug Out 2026 event. Paras, Combee, and Cutiefly will have an increased chance of appearing as their Shiny forms when encountered near Lure Modules.

Throughout the event, a variety of Bug-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, including:

• Caterpie
• Scyther
• Dwebble
• Sizzlipede
• Nymble
• And more!

Raid Battles

Blipbug, along with other Bug-type Pokémon, will be appearing in Raids:

• One-Star Raids
• Three-Star Raids

GO Pass: Bug Out 2026

The GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe for Bug Out 2026 will be available from March 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. To March 23, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Local time. Trainers will automatically receive the free GO Pass. Players can earn GO Points to unlock rewards, including event-themed encounters and Stardust.

The GO Pass Deluxe is available for $4.99 (or local equivalent) and offers faster progression and upgraded rewards. A GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks option is too available for $6.99 (or local equivalent).

Rewards unlocked through the GO Pass will expire on March 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Local time.

Evolving Blipbug

Once you’ve caught Blipbug, you can evolve it into Dottler using 25 Blipbug Candy. Dottler can then be evolved into Orbeetle with an additional 100 Blipbug Candy.
