Luxxy’s PUBG Mobile Weapon Recommendations for Early 2026
Jakarta – Indonesian PUBG Mobile pro player Made “Luxxy” Prabaswara has shared his recommendations for weapons that beginners should prioritize in the first quarter of 2026. These suggestions, based on current meta trends and weapon performance, aim to provide players with a competitive edge.
AUG: The Top 5.56mm Assault Rifle
Luxxy identifies the AUG as the premier 5.56mm assault rifle currently available in PUBG Mobile. This assessment aligns with observations from competitive play, where the AUG has seen increased usage, often surpassing the traditionally favored M416. According to Luxxy, “AUG now has a extremely high fire rate, now it’s clear, from PMGC yesterday M4 was rarely taken, AUG was all full.”
The AUG’s high fire rate, combined with its stable recoil and prompt bullet velocity, makes it an ideal choice for medium to long-range engagements. Its consistent spray control also benefits newer players.
AKM: A Resurgent 7.62mm Powerhouse
Luxxy also highlights the improved performance of the AKM after adjustments in patch 4.2. This 7.62mm weapon boasts significant damage output, and the recent buffs have made it even more formidable, particularly in close-quarters combat.
While not yet fully tested in official tournaments of the latest season, Luxxy predicts the AKM will become a popular choice, especially for players comfortable managing its recoil. “If AKM was buffed yesterday from patch 4.2, this could be a change to META next season, but no one has tried it, maybe because the tournament hasn’t started yet,” he stated.
S12K: Still Effective for Close Combat
For close-range engagements, Luxxy continues to recommend the S12K shotgun, even after recent nerfs. He believes that players with precise aim, comparable to that of Rosemary, can still effectively utilize this weapon.
The S12K remains a strong option in the early game and during very close-range encounters. Its semi-automatic fire rate offers a balance between speed and accuracy, reducing the potential for errors compared to pump-action shotguns.
Shifting Meta in PUBG Mobile
The changes in PUBG Mobile version 4.2 signal a shift in the meta, with the M416 no longer being the default choice. The AUG now dominates the 5.56mm class, the AKM is becoming increasingly threatening in 7.62mm combat, and the S12K remains a viable option for close-range duels.
