Raimonda Vazdik is receiving enthusiastic support from her family as she participates in a televised show. Her son, Reinis Vazdik, and his wife, Kristina Lapsa-Vazdik, who have been married for seven years, frequently vote for her and offer encouragement. Vazdik’s performances are also a source of joy for her grandchildren: seven-year-old hermanis and one-year-old Ronja.
Vazdik expressed her delight that her performances will be archived on YouTube, allowing her grandchildren to witness her work as they grow older. She recalls a conversation last summer when her family questioned her decision to join the show, asking if she wasn’t afraid. Vazdik responded that it was a valuable professional opportunity to perform alongside talented musicians and that she would rather take the chance than regret not trying.
“it is more tough to sit at home and wonder ‘what if,'” Vazdik stated. “While the experience is demanding and time-consuming, that is inherent in the life of an artist.” She added that her family is accustomed to her performances, having seen her in various shows and concerts, and are aware of her energetic stage presence. “They know what grandma can do – kick her foot in the air, sing, and perform,” she said with pride, playfully referring to herself as a “powerful grandma.”
