Ranma ½ Returns with New Apparel Line and Anime Revival

Fans of the classic martial arts comedy Ranma ½ have reason to celebrate. New apparel goods inspired by the series have been released as part of the “TOKYO MADNESS CLUB” collection, coinciding with the highly anticipated revival of the anime. A completely new anime adaptation began broadcasting in October 2024, with a second season premiering on October 4, 2025 .

A Nostalgic Trip to Jusenkyo

Ranma ½, created by Rumiko Takahashi – also known for her perform on Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Inuyasha, Kyoukai no RINNE, and MAO – originally ran in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1987 to 1996 . The story centers on Ranma Saotome, a teenage martial artist cursed to transform into a girl when splashed with cold water, and back into a boy with hot water. The new anime continues the story from the 1989 adaptation, featuring the original voice cast including Kappei Yamaguchi as Ranma Saotome, Megumi Hayashibara as Ranma (female form), Noriko Hidaka as Akane Tendou, and Rei Sakuma as Shampoo.
