The 16-second video, initially posted to Facebook by user Sheryle O. Oro, depicts a diner reacting with surprise as he notices a rat on his table. He quickly moves away from the table, kicking a bag off a chair in the process. The rat is seen moving off the diner’s plate, causing a nearby woman to secure her belongings.

A worker then approaches and swiftly catches the rodent using a cloth. The ease with which the worker apprehended the animal has led to speculation that dealing with pests is a frequent occurrence at the mall.
