Ray J Appeals to Fans After Heart Monitor Stolen During Concert
Ray J is asking for the public’s assist after a fan allegedly stole his heart monitor during a Valentine’s Day concert. The singer revealed the incident in a video posted by TMZ, explaining that he needs the device for critical health monitoring.
Incident During “One Wish” Performance
Ray J explained that he routinely jumps into the crowd while performing his song “One Wish” to connect with fans. During a recent performance, someone took his heart monitor directly from his chest. He is now pleading for its return, stating, “If you have the heart monitor, just let us know how we can gain it back. It’s important, I need it for analytics.”
Health Concerns and Data Loss
The loss of the monitor is particularly concerning given Ray J’s recent health struggles. He has been without data from the device for nearly two weeks, which he says impacts his doctors’ ability to properly manage his care. “I don’t have no data for the past two weeks. It affects them [his doctors] prescribing me what I need,” he stated. Without the data, doctors cannot accurately assess whether he needs to adjust his activity level.
Recent Hospitalization
This incident follows a recent hospitalization in January 2026 for pneumonia and heart pain, as reported by TMZ. Ray J revealed at the time that his heart is currently functioning at approximately 25% capacity. He emphasized that this situation is not a publicity stunt, stating, “This is not a theatrical campaign.”
Offering a Reward for Return
Ray J is offering to compensate the individual who returns the heart monitor. “DM me or DM Melina [his manager] TMZ, whoever,” he said, adding that he is willing to meet in person to retrieve the device and offer “some cash” as a reward. He urged anyone with information to come forward.
As of February 22, 2026, the heart monitor remains missing.
