Regina Hall and Anna Faris: The Original Cynthia and Ariana?

Regina Hall and Anna Faris, costars of the 2000 horror spoof Scary Movie, modeled the kind of affectionate behavior between costars that Wicked: For Good‘s Ariana grande and Cynthia Erivo became known for.At least Hall thinks so.

“we were like the original cynthia and Ariana, huh?” Hall said when she was shown some throwback Entertainment Tonight footage of the two during an interview for the outlet when the movie was released. “All the set love.”

The vintage clip show the women jokingly fawning over each other, after faris explains, “we want everyone to think that we get along.” She seems to say that they’d been instructed by the studio.

In high-pitched voices, they declare their love for one another and the belief that the other is “so funny.”

“She is hilarious,” Hall raves. “She’s great!”

Faris adds, “We love working together,” as they hug and grin.

I mean,there’s something off there,right?” She expressed excitement about revisiting that style of humor,noting,”there’s a very specific type of broad humor that’s in Scary Movie. it means a lot that people want to see it 25 years later.”
