Fox Recovered and Released by ENPA Salerno After Rehabilitation

A fox was successfully released back into the wild in Marcianise, Caserta, Italy, after being rescued and rehabilitated by volunteers from ENPA Salerno, Elsa Ets, and Lipu Caserta. The animal was initially found with an inability to move its hind legs.

Rescue and Initial Care

Volunteers discovered the fox near the lake in Marcianise. Due to the paralysis in its hind legs, the fox was transferred to the Frullone Wild Animal Recovery Center in Naples. Veterinarians initially suspected paralysis, but thankfully, this diagnosis was averted.

Rehabilitation and Release

Following a period of rehabilitation with specialized veterinary care, the fox regained full functionality in its limbs. The release took place in front of a group of onlookers and volunteers, marking a successful outcome for the collaborative rescue effort.
