Martijn Krabbé Continues Voice-Over Role on ‘Kopen Zonder Kijken’ Amid Health Battle
Despite battling incurable lung cancer, beloved Dutch television presenter Martijn Krabbé remains connected to the popular RTL program ‘Kopen Zonder Kijken’ (Buy Without Looking) as its voice-over artist. The new season, featuring a rotating cast of eleven colleagues filling in for Krabbé as the on-screen host, premiered on February 23rd, 2026.
Krabbé’s Continued Involvement
RTL announced the return of ‘Kopen Zonder Kijken’ with the familiar voice of Krabbé featured in promotional material. Krabbé expressed his joy at continuing his involvement with the show via Instagram, stating, “Yes! We are back, thanks to eleven lovely colleagues!” RTL Boulevard reported on February 9th, 2026.
The eleven colleagues taking on hosting duties include Daphne Bunskoek, Ruben Nicolai, Chantal Janzen, and Monica Geuze. The core team of experts – Alex van Keulen (real estate agent), Roos Reedijk (interior designer), and Bob Sikkes (renovation expert) – are also returning for the new season.
A Rotating Hosting Lineup
Krabbé is no longer appearing on screen due to his health condition, having been diagnosed with stage-4 lung cancer. However, he is actively participating behind the scenes. Ruben Nicolai is among those stepping in to present the show, with Martijn providing the voice-over. YouTube confirmed Nicolai’s role as a stand-in presenter.
Previous Voice-Over Work
This isn’t the first time Krabbé has continued his work on ‘Kopen Zonder Kijken’ while undergoing treatment. In January 2025, he lent his voice to the eighth season of the show, recording the voice-over from home while colleagues such as Chantal Janzen and Jamai Loman presented on location. Mabumbe.com detailed this previous arrangement.
Fan Reaction
Viewers have expressed their happiness at hearing Krabbé’s voice remain a part of the program. Fans have commented on social media, acknowledging their appreciation for his continued contribution, even while missing his on-screen presence. RTL Boulevard highlighted the positive fan response.
