Competition in the affordable 5G smartphone market is heating up, driven by increasing demand for digital content consumption. Samsung Electronics Indonesia has responded by launching the Galaxy A07 5G, priced starting at IDR 2 million, targeting users active on social media and streaming platforms.

The Galaxy A07 5G boasts a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, aiming for smoother scrolling and video playback. Samsung claims this is the largest battery in the Galaxy A Series line. The device likewise incorporates AI-powered features designed to enhance daily tasks, from quick searches to improved digital entertainment experiences.

Display and Design

The smartphone features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD screen with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device measures 8.2mm in thickness and weighs 199 grams, and is IP54 certified for dust and splash resistance.

Performance and Connectivity

Under the hood, the Galaxy A07 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, fabricated using a 6nm process. It comes equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. The device supports 5G connectivity, promising stable performance for light multitasking, high-quality video streaming, and video calls in areas with 5G coverage.

AI Integration

Samsung has integrated several AI-based features into the Galaxy A07 5G. Circle to Search allows users to search for information simply by circling objects on the screen. Gemini AI integration enables users to access information by pressing and holding the side button to activate Gemini and then asking questions via text or voice.

Camera and Battery

The Galaxy A07 5G features a 50MP main camera (f/1.8) for capturing sharp photos in various lighting conditions, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor for bokeh effects. The front-facing camera is an 8MP sensor. A standout feature is the 6,000mAh battery, supported by 25W fast charging, and a 25W travel adapter is included in the sales package.

Software Support

Samsung is offering up to 6 years of software updates for the Galaxy A07 5G, a commitment typically reserved for its flagship series.

The Samsung Galaxy A07 5G is available in Indonesia starting at IDR 2 million. The launch marks a significant step for Samsung’s A0x series, bringing 5G technology to a more affordable price point.
