Schulting’s Triumph
Suzanne Schulting’s victory at the 2021 KNSB Dutch Sprint Championships in Heerenveen represents a personal milestone for the speed skater. She finished with a total of 152.250 points, surpassing Femke Kok (149.910) and Jutta Leerdam (149.365) to take the gold medal. This win is particularly meaningful for Schulting, who has spoken about the immense pressure she has been under.
Botman’s World Cup Qualification
Janno Botman emerged as the Dutch sprint champion in the men’s competition, achieving a total of 138.115 points. This victory guarantees him a place at the upcoming World Cup. He finished ahead of Kai Verbij (138.780) and Dai Dai N’tab (138.920). Tim Prins, still, described his season as “a failed season” despite his performance.
