DogRescueHUG SAKURASAKU Crowdfunding Campaign Aims to Support Senior and Ill Dogs

A crowdfunding campaign has been launched by General Incorporated Association DogRescueHUG SAKURASAKU to provide continued care for 30 senior and ill dogs currently under their protection. The organization, dedicated to rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters and neglectful situations for the past 13 years, is facing a severe financial deficit due to rising medical and care costs.

The Current Crisis

DogRescueHUG SAKURASAKU is currently responsible for the well-being of 30 dogs, many of whom are elderly or suffering from illness. This has led to a significant increase in monthly medical expenses, straining the organization’s resources. Without immediate financial support, the sanctuary’s ability to operate is at risk.

How Your Support Will Help

The crowdfunding campaign aims to secure 5,000,000 yen to address the financial shortfall and ensure the dogs can live comfortably until the complete of their lives. Funds will be allocated primarily to medical expenses and treatment, as well as essential care items such as specialized food, diapers, and shelter maintenance. The campaign operates on an “All-or-Nothing” basis, meaning funds will only be received if the goal is met.

As of March 17, 2026, the campaign has raised 615,000 yen from 31 supporters, with 56 days remaining to reach its goal.

A Place to Belong

DogRescueHUG SAKURASAKU strives to provide a loving and peaceful environment for senior dogs, offering them a place to feel safe and cherished during their final years. The organization believes every dog deserves to experience the joy of a comfortable and loving life, regardless of age or health condition.

Support for the campaign can be provided through the ReadyFor crowdfunding platform. The fundraising period ends on May 13, 2026.
