Shanghai Disney Resort Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Year-Long Festivities

Shanghai Disney Resort will launch a year-long celebration of its 10th anniversary on March 20, 2026, coinciding with the International Day of Happiness. The milestone will be marked by new entertainment, décor, dining options, and merchandise throughout the resort.

New Entertainment Highlights

“The Heart of Magic”

A new entertainment production, “The Heart of Magic,” will debut on the castle stage. The show will feature Mickey and Friends on a quest to restore the Heart of Magic, joined by characters from Disney and Pixar films including Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, Tangled, Mulan, Hercules, Frozen, Toy Story, Coco, and Turning Red. Hercules and Miguel from Coco will create their Shanghai Disneyland debuts in the production, which will include new costumes and staging.

Mickey’s Storybook Express Enhancements

Mickey’s Storybook Express will receive new additions, including a pre-parade float featuring Duffy and Friends aboard a golden ship. A new Zootopia parade float, showcasing Gazelle’s concert bus, will as well be added, featuring Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other characters from the film, performing to the songs “Try Everything” and “Zoo.”

“Illuminate! A Nighttime Celebration” Finale

The nighttime spectacular, “Illuminate! A Nighttime Celebration,” will be enhanced with a new finale featuring Mickey Mouse in a new magician ensemble. The show will incorporate fountains, lasers, fireworks, and projections, and include a segment inspired by Disney’s Wish, featuring Asha and Star.

Additional Entertainment

A new “Star Squad” will add cheer to seasonal entertainment throughout the year. Performances will include dancers before the Duffy and Friends pre-parade, Chip ‘n’ Dale appearances, a Halloween cavalcade, a Winter Royal Ball, and the Zootopia Street Party during Chinese New Year.

Dining and Merchandise

10th Anniversary Food and Drink

Shanghai Disney Resort will offer a variety of 10th-anniversary themed treats, including noodle dishes, signature flavors from cities across China, and returning fan-favorite snacks. New popcorn buckets, cups, and straw clips will also be available as souvenirs.

Expanded Merchandise Collection

The resort will debut its largest merchandise collection to date, featuring plush toys, apparel, accessories, and collectibles inspired by Mickey and Friends, Duffy and Friends, and Enchanted Storybook Castle. A new interactive “Magic Wand” will allow guests to summon and collect magic throughout the park.

Character Appearances and Resort-Wide Enhancements

New Character Outfits

Mickey and Friends, along with Duffy and Friends, will wear new birthday outfits designed for the anniversary celebration.

Shimmering Décor and Cast Member Interactions

The resort will be decorated with shimmering décor, including a new Mickey Floral display and hidden 10th-anniversary motifs. Cast members will create magical moments for guests through floor art, shopping and dining encounters, and surprise interactions.

“My Magic Star” Digital Experience

Guests can enhance their experience with “My Magic Star,” a digital platform that allows users to create personalized stars, unlock in-park experiences, and share memories.

Collectible Tickets

New collectible park tickets featuring 30 Disney characters will be available starting March 20, 2026. The tickets will include puzzle pieces and sections for creating photos.

Disneytown and Hotel Festivities

Disneytown will host seasonal events, markets, and walking tours. Resort hotels will offer in-room surprises and a “10” discovery tour.
