FC Barcelona has lifted its temporary ban on supporters’ groups ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League home game against Aston Villa, following a positive meeting on Monday. The reversal allows the reopening of the section known as the animation stand for the upcoming fixture.

The temporary prohibition originally affected the operation of ‘Gol 1957’ for Saturday’s league match against Alavés. Action was taken against the group struck Real Madrid player Eduardo Camavinga with a flag during the Clásico at the Camp Nou on Oct. 25 after an affiliate hit him.

Meeting Between Executives and Representatives

Barcelona executives convened on Monday with the representatives responsible for managing the section before officially announcing that the stand would reopen. Following the discussions, the club released a statement detailing the agreement reached with the fan organizations.

The spokespersons have committed the groups to behave in a civic and respectful fashion in the stands, the club stated.

Club management highlighted how crucial the area is, pointing out that FC Barcelona appreciates the constructive pledge made by the fan collective, whose support is vital for cheering on the squad during matches. However, leadership made it clear that the situation remains under scrutiny.

Club Officials Monitor Commitment to Avoid Repeated Penalties

The club confirmed that officials will monitor closely this commitment moving forward. According to the administration, previous behavior that led to the ban had brought repeated financial penalties and exposed the club to the possibility of having to close the stadium.

FC Barcelona is confident that with everyone’s commitment, this situation will not be repeated to the good of the members, fans and the club itself, the club concluded.
